Humanitarian Aid Statement

Dear IASA Membership,

As some of you may know, one of our loyal members was deeply affected by the earthquake in Mexico. During our 2017 Conference Banquet in Berlin last week, Filip Šír initiated a fundraiser that resulted in €550, which has been sent to aid the relief effort in Mexico.

With disasters in Mexico, Bangladesh, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, St. Croix, St. Martin, Houston, The Keys, and many other areas, the Executive Board encourages members to help in any way that one can, by any means that one can. The human stories that our collections tell start with the human lives that create them.

While the Executive Board does not endorse any specific humanitarian aid organization, we encourage our members to take active roles in the relief effort in all affected areas of the world.
