Copyright & Sound Recordings: Live Webcast of Workshop

The Education and Training Committee of ARSC, the Association for Recorded Sound Collections, is pleased to announce that for the first time, ARSC is offering a live webcast of its pre-conference workshop for those who are unable to attend in person in Rochester, NY.

The workshop and live webcast will run from 9:00 am - 5:00 PM EDT (13:00 - 22:00 UTC), with breaks. An archived version will also be made available to all registrants for a limited time.

DEADLINE EXTENSION: Call for Papers for the 43rd IASA Annual Conference

The IASA Executive Board has granted an extension for the submissions of proposals for presentations, posters and panel discussions for the 43rd IASA Annual Conference, to be held in New Delhi, India, 7-11 October 2012.

The closing date for submissions has been extended to February 28, 2012

European Commission's Green Paper on the online distribution of audiovisual works

The European Commission published a Green Paper on the online distribution of audiovisual works. In the framework of the IPR Strategy (Commission's communication "A Single Market for Intellectual Property Rights"), this paper aims to contribute to the development of a digital single market by launching a consultation on the opportunities and challenges of the online distribution of audiovisual works.
