The international conference – Europeana Sounds 2015: The Future of Historic Sounds – will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2015 in Paris, at the National Library of France.
The event, for which registration is free of charge, is specifically scheduled to follow immediately after the last day of the IASA (International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives) 2015 annual conference at the same venue, so that delegates can attend both events.

The Joint Technical Symposium (JTS) explores the technical issues affecting the long term survival and accessibility of audiovisual collections. JTS is an international symposium and brings together the world’s foremost research and thinking regarding the preservation and accessibility of moving image and recorded sound collections, from 19th century endeavours to the most recent digital technologies.

Our 46th annual conference is being hosted 27 September through 1 October by the Bibliothèque nationale de France, in the city of light, Paris, France.
