For the first time in more than 25 years the FIAT/IFTA Executive Council and the IASA Board have decided to join forces and organize a joint conference with an integrated programme. The 51st IASA Conference will also be the 44th Conference of the Fédération Internationale des Archives de Télévision / The International Federation of Television Archives (FIAT/IFTA).

The joint 51st IASA Conference and 44th FIAT/IFTA World Conference hosted by RTÉ, was due to be held from 26 to 29 October 2020, in Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.

De Winter School for Audiovisual Archiving is een jaarlijkse vierdaagse training, speciaal voor audiovisuele collectiehouders en archivarissen. Tijdens de Winter School krijgen deelnemers de praktische kennis aangereikt om een preserveringsplan voor hun audiovisuele collecties te ontwerpen en uit te voeren.
