In Ireland, there is no legal deposit for audiovisual material. Provision for the extension of legal deposit privilege to non-print and other media including audiovisual material is set out in section 199 of the Copyright and Related Rights Act, 2000. This section, which amended section 65 of the National Cultural Institutions Act, 1997, has not been commenced.
