ARSC's 51st annual conference will be held May 10-13, 2017 in Sant Antonio, Texas, at the Menger Hotel. Situated on Alamo Plaza, the hotel was established in 1859 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Nearby attractions include: San Antonio Riverwalk & River Cruises, The Alamo, San Antonio Missions, Spanish Governor's Palace, San Antonio Museum of Art Market Square (El Mercado), San Antonio, Botanical Garden, and the San Antonio Children's Museum Museo Alameda (Market Square).

For our 50th annual conference, we return to the location of our first one .. . Bloomington, Indiana! The conference will be held May 11-14, 2016, in Bloomington, Indiana, and is hosted by Indiana University at Bloomington.

new ARSC Guide to Audio Preservation

The new ARSC Guide to Audio Preservation, edited by Sam Brylawski, Maya Lerman, Robin Pike, Kathlin Smith was released recently.

Commissioned for and sponsored by the National Recording Preservation Board of the Library of Congress, and co-published by the Association for Recorded Sound Collections, the Council on Library and Information Resources, and The Library of Congress.

2014 Winners: ARSC Awards for Excellence

ARSC is pleased to recognize outstanding published research in the field of recorded sound with our annual Awards for Excellence. The Association for Recorded Sound Collections is pleased to announce the winners of the 2014 ARSC Awards for Excellence in Historical Recorded Sound Research. Begun in 1991, the awards are presented to authors and publishers of books, articles, liner notes, and monographs, to recognize outstanding published research in the field of recorded sound.
