This is a guest post by Ariel Schudson, Chair of the Access Committee for the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA).
________________

My name is Ariel Schudson and I am the Chair of the Access Committee for the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA). I wanted to inform you of a fantastic new resource that we have established.

Deep Focus is a specially designed database for moving image repositories all over the world. We have been working on this project for quite some time now, through the work of a great many volunteers and the input of the archives and institutions themselves. We have seen it grow and prosper and are quite excited about all the possibilities that we are seeing within each new avenue it takes.

We are hoping that you will want to participate in Deep Focus in whatever way that you might see fit, whether it is simply through spreading the word of its existence through educational means or by adding your own moving image archive!

You can find the link here:

Please let me know if you have any further questions and thanks for your help!

Forever in film,

Ariel Schudson
