UNESCO celebrates World Radio Day 2013

On the occasion of World Radio Day on 13 February 2013, UNESCO releases a number of historic audio files in that can be used free of charge and without copyright restriction in planning World Radio Day broadcasts and events.

UNESCO has a rich sound archive dating back to its creation on 16 November 1945.  The library contains over 30,000 records relating to the history of UNESCO. It includes raw material such as interviews, conference recordings, speeches, official visits and also completed programmes in French, Spanish, Russian, and English.
